In this project, we were tasked with designing an Under-The-Sea themed kiosk. I had a ton of ideas which you will see in my thumbnails.
Ultimately I repurposed a sunken ship into a kiosk.
First Draft
These are the thumbnails I made for this Project. At this stage in the process my favorites were the reef with the jellyfish, and the shark.
During my class critique, I verbalized some ideas. There was a lot of discussion about the ship which became more and more exciting, I ultimately went on to design a Sunken-Pirate-Ship-Kiosk
My Take aways from my first draft’s class critique were that I needed to:
Create more life growing out of the ship
Make the ship appear to be a little more battered and bruised.
After the second draft, the only major issues I needed to address were that
The top shelf needed something occupying the back
I needed to add more detail to the Jolly Rodger
The bubble person I added for scale needed to be more detailed and more interactive
