A CALL TO ADVENTURE
Once upon a time in the bustling city of Savannah, there was a young artist named Olivia Russin. From a tender age, Olivia possessed a burning passion for creativity that set her apart from her peers. With a heart brimming with curiosity and a mind full of imaginative ideas, she was destined for greatness in the world of art and design.
THE ROAD OF HER TRIALS
Eager to cultivate her skills, Olivia seized the opportunity to attend ID Tech, a prestigious coding summer camp. With every passing day, she absorbed knowledge like a sponge, pushing the boundaries of her creativity. Her hands trembled with excitement as she learned to create simple 3D models in Maya, unlocking a realm of endless possibilities. The Steam Workshop became her canvas, where she crafted Mods and Rather Maps, infusing her unique style into the virtual world.
Amidst her creative endeavors, Olivia found solace in the depths of the ocean. Scuba diving became her sanctuary, a place where she could immerse herself in the mesmerizing underwater landscapes. The Bahamas held a special allure for her, a paradise where she could explore the secrets of the deep blue sea. When she wasn't exploring the underwater wonders, Olivia unleashed her culinary prowess in the kitchen. Her favorite dish, Buffalo Macaroni and Cheese, was a culinary masterpiece that delighted both her taste buds and those fortunate enough to savor her creations. And when she sought to unwind, video games provided the perfect escape. Splatoon 3, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Fallout 4 were among her cherished virtual realms, each offering a unique adventure and fueling her creative fire.
TESTS OF ALLIES AND ENEMIES ALONG THE APPROACH
The spark that ignited Olivia's passion for game design happened when she was just thirteen years old. Fate intervened during a class Secret Santa exchange when a thoughtful classmate presented her with a copy of Pokemon X. Little did Olivia know that this seemingly innocent gift would change the trajectory of her life forever. She dove headfirst into the captivating world of Pokemon, losing herself for hours on end in its virtual landscapes. It was in those immersive moments that she realized her calling – to craft experiences that would transport others to enchanting realms and captivate their imaginations.
She found inspiration in the world of Anime and Comics, drawn to their vibrant storytelling and striking visuals. Movies held a special place in her heart, and she reveled in the artistry of the visual effects that brought the silver screen to life. Eager to unravel the secrets behind these illusions, she entered the study of Visual Effects, unlocking the techniques used to create miracles that enthralled audiences worldwide. Her dream expanded beyond game design; she yearned to contribute to the creation of feature films, weaving her artistic prowess into the tapestry of cinematic magic.
THE REVELATION
Olivia's journey began when she entered the esteemed halls of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Her chosen path is one of innovation and boundless potential, as she pursues a major in Interactive Design and Game Development. This field of study resonates deeply within her, for she had been drawn to the magic of interactive experiences for almost half her life
As she delved deeper into courses at SCAD, Olivia discovered the intricacies of User Integration. It was a revelation to her that websites possessed the power to either captivate visitors or repel them. She marveled at the parallel between user engagement on websites and the thrill of gaming. This newfound understanding fueled her desire to create immersive environments where users could lose themselves in wonder and excitement.
But Olivia's interests extended beyond the realm of Interactive Design. Collaboration and the power of collective creativity were the cornerstones of Olivia's approach. She thrived on the exchange of ideas, the dynamic energy that flowed during brainstorming sessions. To her, the creative process was a symphony, with each individual contributing a unique melody to compose a masterpiece. Olivia was a team player at heart, offering her expertise and embracing feedback as stepping stones towards perfection.
PATHS CHANGED
After her graduation Olivia had to make a decision. To continue her education and broaden her skills or continue down the path she had paved way for. Olivia didn't want to shut a door without exploring them so she did some research on the masters programs and that's when she came across Themed Entertainment design. Immediately her mind went back to all the theme parks and museums she had fun at in the past and how most of her core memories where at theme parks like the time her brother went to town on an entire turkey leg in frontier land about a decade ago or the legendary story of her father eating a 5 pound hershey's chocolate bar by himself that led her grandparents to take us on a trip to hershey park one year. There are so many stories she could tell and memories that she made at these places that she wants to be apart of bringing this magic to life.

If Olivia were to embody the spirit of a dog, she would undoubtedly be a poodle. Like this breed, she possessed an initial reserve around strangers, keenly observing the world with a discerning eye. But beneath that reserved exterior lay a playful and intelligent soul, ready to forge meaningful connections and infuse joy into the lives of those she held dear.
